The Western Australian Electoral Commission (WAEC) is encouraging all electors to check their postal voting packs and vote early in the 2025 Local Government Elections to ensure their vote is counted.
While most electors have received the correct postal voting materials, a small number of isolated issues have been identified. We are urging electors to open and review their postal voting packages early so they have the opportunity to return their postal votes in time for their vote to be counted.
WAEC is working quickly with its print and mail suppliers to rectify these issues and ensure a smooth election process.
What electors should do now:
- Check your ballot paper & return envelope
- Follow the instructions to cast your ballot
- Ensure your postal vote is returned by 6pm Saturday 18 October.
