Following the September North West Central by-election, notices are now being sent to electors in the district who appear not to have voted. The notices will ask electors if they have a valid and sufficient reason for not voting and provide payment details for those who do not have a reason.
To provide a reason for not voting, electors can email the Commission at nonvoter@waec.wa.gov.au. This email address can also be used for any queries regarding a failure to vote notice. An elector will not be fined if their reason for not voting is accepted.
