Australia Post has started delivering voting packages to your mailbox. Each package contains a ballot paper and envelope, candidate profile document and a reply paid envelope for mailing back your completed ballot paper.
Read the instructions on the ballot paper carefully and place a tick next to the correct number of candidates you need to vote for. Sign the declaration attached to the envelope so we know it was you voting and use the free reply paid envelope to send it back to us.
If you also have a mayoral election in your local government you will receive two ballot papers - one for councillor and one for mayor.
You have until 16 October 2021 to return your ballot paper. If you have not posted your ballot paper back by 12 October it might be quicker to drop it into the ballot box located at your local government office.
If you don't receive a ballot paper by 12 October, or make a mistake with the ballot paper mailed out to you, then go to your local government office and they can issue you with a new one. The ballot paper mailed out to you will be cancelled so there is no risk of your vote being counted twice.
