Results declared for Legislative Council South West vacancy

Legislative Council candidate, Ms Louise Kingston, has been elected to fill the vacancy in the South West Region, following today’s Legislative Council recount held at the WA Electoral Commission office.

The Electoral Commissioner declared Ms Kingston elected over two other candidates: Rick Mazza and Rodney Pfeiffer.

The recount was held today at 2pm, following the disqualification from Parliament of former South West Region Legislative Council member Mr James Hayward.

The Legislative Council will undertake the next steps to allow Ms Kingston to take up her seat.
