Rockingham voters don’t have to wait for polling day on 29 July with doors opening today
at early voting centres. Votes can be cast from 12-28 July at the following early voting centres:
Rockingham
Address: 5/8-10 Commodore Drive, Rockingham
Open: Weekdays 8:00am-6:00pm
Saturday 22 July: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Thursday 27 July 8:00am- 9:00pm
This location will remain open as a polling place from 8am-6pm on election day, Saturday 29 July.
Perth city
Address: WA Electoral Commission
Level 2, 111 St Georges Tce, Perth
Open: Weekdays 8.30am-4.30pm
Friday 28 July: 8:30am - 6pm
Interstate
Early voting is available at seven interstate locations.
“Early voting is open to any eligible voter who either can’t vote on election day or prefer not to attend a polling place on election day. You don’t need a special reason to vote early,” WA Electoral Commissioner Robert Kennedy said.
“Early voting is open from today until the day before the election.”
Voters will also be able to vote on election day at the Rockingham early voting location (Commodore Drive). See the WA Electoral Commission website for a full list of polling places.
Applications for postal voting remain open with more than 2000 Rockingham electors already applying for a postal vote. As with all State elections, voting is compulsory for people enrolled in the Rockingham electoral district. Learn more about the Rockingham by-election.
Media interview: Electoral Commissioner Robert Kennedy will be available for media interviews today at the Rockingham early voting centre 1.30pm-2.30pm.
