Friday 6pm deadline to enrol for Rockingham by-election
Rockingham voters have until 6pm Friday 16 June to get on the electoral roll so they can vote in the upcoming Rockingham by-election.
“Anyone who lives in the Rockingham electorate and is an Australian citizen aged 18 years or older is eligible to enrol to vote for the 29 July by-election – but you must be on the roll by 6pm Friday,” said Western Australian Electoral Commissioner Robert Kennedy.
“To enrol to vote go to elections.wa.gov.au. You can also update your enrolment or to check your enrolment details.”
A by-election for the District of Rockingham will be held on Saturday 29 July following the resignation of the local member.
As with all State elections, voting is compulsory. In addition to voting on polling day, there are opportunities for postal voting and in-person early voting.
