Accessibility
The Electoral Education Centre (EEC) is wheelchair accessible. Ramp access is directly opposite the ACROD parking bays in the Havelock Street entrance.
The EEC has a wheelchair accessible toilet with handrails and an accessible shower.
Entry to the theatrette has a small step (or lip), with an area in front of the tiered seating that can accommodate wheelchairs.
Parking
Parking bays are provided for school buses in Havelock Street in front of the Constitution Centre.
Metered parking is available for visitors to the EEC in Havelock Street and Parliament Place.
Two ACROD parking bays are available for permit holders in the main car park at the Constitutional Centre.
Lunch facilities
- A courtyard with bench seats and tree shade is available for participants to use during breaks. Please note - noise levels should be kept to a reasonable level.
- A lawn area at the front of the Constitutional Centre (on Parliament Place) is available for longer break periods.
- A water fountain is available in the courtyard.
- There are no lunch bar or café facilities at the EEC. Cafes within walking distance: 4 U Café – 35 Havelock Street and Scotty's Café - 1 Ord Street.
- School students should bring only their lunches and any essential items.
Toilets
Male and female toilets and one wheelchair accessible toilet are available for visitors to the centre. No public access to toilets.

Working With Children Check
All staff working at the EEC have a current Working With Children card.
Safety and emergency information
The EEC has an emergency evacuation procedure developed in accordance with Western Australian Occupational Safety and Health Regulations and relevant Australian standards.
Supervising staff are required to bring a list of all visiting students and staff in case a roll call is necessary in an emergency situation.
In the unlikely event of an emergency that requires evacuation of the building, an alarm tone will sound. EEC and/or appointed wardens will instruct supervising staff. All visitors required to follow instructions given. On evacuation, groups will be directed to the initial assembly area located on the lawn at the front of the building, unless otherwise instructed by the wardens.
